FARC Militants Reportedly Kidnap Energy Workers
Suspected militants of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) kidnapped four employees of an energy firm and reportedly took them to a mountainous region.

Woman tortured, executed and left in a barrel with trash.


LA ANTIGUA, VERACRUZ

Military clashed with cartel gunmen several times during the day, resulting in 1 arrested with a seizure of weapons, tactical equipment, radios and 7 vehicles. There were 8 gunmen killed.

AGUILA, MICHOACÁN

Knights Templar executed a man, leaving a message saying ‘This will happen to everyone who rob poor people’. Nearby, a stolen vehicle was found.

MONTERREY, NUEVO LEÓN

Police officer attacked and wounded.


JUAREZ, NUEVO LEÓN

Narco graves found near sewage plant for Monterey. So far, seven bodies have been recovered with some maimed with pieces missing and others complete.


DURANGO, DURANGO

Five more bodies found in narco graves, bring the total count to 234.

HUALAHUISES, NUEVO LEÓN

Three human heads found on street. All are of about 20-25 years old. Three headless bodies were found hours later outside of town along the highway. Also found was an abandoned federal police unit, leading to speculation the victims may be federal officers.


CULIACAN, SINALOA

A state police commander and his son were kidnapped, and have not been found.

CUAUHTÉMOC, CHIHUAHUA

Two women brutally tortured and beheaded.

CADAREYTA, NUEVO LEÓN

Two men found executed, and bodies had been eaten on by animals.


TAXCO DE ALARCÓN, GUERRERO

Man brutally tortured and then executed.


MONTERREY, NUEVO LEÓN

Military was attacked by the Zetas, who repelled the attack and captured 5 men and 1 woman. Seized was a long gun, handgun, ammo and other items, including some with the Zeta logo.


COCULA, GUERRERO*

Municipal police responding to a call were ambushed, with both officers killed. Another officer was wounded, as was a civilian bystander.


MONTERREY, NUEVO LEÓN

Men hung from bridge, and then executed. A boy of 12 tried to escape, but was also shot down and killed. At another location, the head of a woman was left at the door of a restaurant with a narcomessage from the Zetas.

CHIHUAHUA, CHIHUAHUA*

Assassins attacked the Deputy Police Chief in his vehicle. One officer serving as a bodyguard died, saving his boss.


SALINAS VICTORIA , NUEVO LEON

Mexican military has found a narco cocina, or narco kitchen, where bodies are burned. The remains of at least 30 bodies have been found. Also found were instruments of torture. A grave was also located there.


GOMEZ PALACIO, DURANGO*

Two police officers killed, and a commander gravely injured.

VILLA UNIÓN, COAHUILA

Mexican Marines arrested 5 Zetas and seized a large arsenal, including over 200 guns, 29,621 rounds of ammo, grenades, 563 camouflage uniforms, tactical equipment among other things.
