Proceso San Pedro Sula, Honduras 4/24/2013

In the last few days 40 citizens of India have been arrested by police in various locales in Honduras while attempting to make their way to the United States with the help of professional smugglers to whom they each pay between five and ten thousand dollars. Frontier police detained in the past few days 20 Indian citizens. On the weekend, a Guatemalan was caught transporting 8 Indians toward Guatemala. (Note all were enroute to the U.S. and our unsecured southern border. Texas has reported large groups of both Indian and Chinese crossing.)

158 Hitmen Killed During Clashes with Soldiers in Mexico

There were 67 in Tamaulipas, according to a report by the Ministry of National Defense.

Milenio, citing a report issued by SEDENA, released information indicating that at least 158 hitmen were killed by soldiers between December 2012 and February 28, 2013. Numbers of hitmen killed by state were reported as follows:
· Tamaulipas: 67
· Veracruz: 25
· Coahuila: 23
· Zacatecas: 20
· Guerrero: 10
· Jalisco: 4
· Chihuahua: 3
· Mexico State: 2
· Sinaloa: 1
· Nuevo Leon: 1
· Oaxaca: 1
· Michoacan: 1
Statistics regarding clashes between soldiers and cartel gunmen during the Calderon administration (2007-2012) were reported as follows:
· 2,959 criminals were killed
· 405 were wounded
· 2,560 were arrested

10 undocumented detained by INM (immigration) in Mexico City

Mexico City (April 20, 2013). – A total of 10 Central Americans without legal documents were seized by personnel from the National Institute of Migration (INM) in Mexico.

According to the agency, together with the Federal Police to carry out inspections on passenger buses. One man who, when asked for identification, had ID from Guatemala and showed a letter from an employer in the United States.
