Tegucigalpa. Israeli information media reported that the terrorist group Hezbollah is said to have established a training base in Nicaragua, near the southern border of Honduras, where at least 30 members of the organization are gathered.
Radio Israel reported that “Iran has established a training base on the north of Nicaragua, near the border with Honduras, which is used by Hezbollah.”
Likewise, the daily Israel Times points out that “approximately 30 members of the terrorist organization reside within the area, which is closed to local residents.” The reports assert that the bases are a meeting ground for organized crime and the drug cartels, for money laundering and contraband of weapons. “The sources estimate that the trainees prepare for attacks against U.S. and Israeli targets, as a possible reprisal for a military attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities. The daily points out that at the beginning of the year reports indicated Iran’s and Hezbollah’s participation in drug traffic and other illegal activities in South America, by means of Iranian bases in Nicaragua and Venezuela.
According to the report, Jose Enrique Castillo, Chancellor of Costa Rica, warned about the growing influence of Iran and Nicaragua and the resulting perils for Latin America.
NOTE: a similar article in “La Prensa” (Nicaraguan newspaper) states that it hasn’t been able to confirm the report and that it is contacting Nicaragua’s Chancery, the National Police, the Nicaraguan Army and the Israeli Embassy.
(Note also that the current Nicaraguan regime is closely allied with Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez.)
EMERGENCY MESSAGE FOR U.S. CITIZENS: PORT-AU-PRINCE (HAITI), WAVE OF ARMED ROBBERIES AFTER BANK WITHDRAWALS
Security Message to U.S. Citizens in Haiti
September 10, 2012
This security message is issued by the U.S. Embassy in Port-au-Prince to inform U.S. citizens traveling in or visiting Haiti that over the course of the last two months approximately ten armed robberies have occurred after customers made bank withdrawals in the neighborhood opposite the U.S. Embassy, across Boulevard du 15 Octobre in Tabarre. It appears that in all cases thieves have followed the victims on motorcycle and robbed them at gun point away from the bank.
There MAY BE VERY graphic photographs that accompany some articles in the body of this report. It is not our intention to sensationalize. We include these photos in order to give to you, the American public, a clearer understanding of the seriousness of the situation in Mexico and Central America.

SAN LUIS POTOSI
On Saturday, seven young people were executed. Four were outside and 3 within a home. Unofficially, two others were wounded. Other reports say one of the victims was just 12 years old.
APODACA, NUEVO LEON
A man and his son were shot and killed, after being pursued by gunmen. The son’s wife was shot 8 times, which include one in the head, one on his right shoulder, three in the back, two on the right side and one in the right thigh. Her condition is reported to be grave. Investigators recovered at least 49 shell casings, and determined the father and son were shot at least 15 times each. Because the shootings were close to the victims residences, relatives quickly came to the scene.
A shootout between federal police and gunmen left 5 dead: 1 federal officer, an innocent taxi driver passing by, and 3 bad guys. A passenger in the taxi was wounded. The police were on patrol when they came under fire, and responded, killing their attackers. (Note US state’s names on van.)
State police have captured Felipe De Jesús Gastélum Castro, aka: “El Fagot” or “El Vaquero or “El Felipillo”, wanted in the killings of several police officers. He is believed involved in the executions of over 40 people.
