CIUDAD JUAREZ, CHIHUAHUA
Jose Luis Zea Frescas, chief of the state public defender’s office was assassinated Friday afternoon in his personal vehicle.
At about midnight, a group of gunmen stormed a gas station. A state police officer was wounded while trying to thwart the attack.
Mexican Marines arrested 15 gunmen, and seized weapons and more. It included 17 guns and seven pistols, three fragmentation grenades, a stun grenade, RPG tube, and 893 thousand cartridges of various calibers, as well as communication equipment, supplies, several vehicles and more.
Four men was assassinated Thursday night, with 3 of the 4 being brothers.
TIJUANA, BAJA CALIFORNIA
Three men and a woman were executed in Tijuana. However, they spared a 10 month old baby boy.
A police officer and a city employee were shot and killed during an attempted assassination of the Mayor. Another wounded officer is in ‘delicate’ condition at a hospital.
A police officer assigned to investigations was kidnapped on Thursday, and his step son was killed during the crime when he tried to help.
Federal police arrested on Wednesday 7 extortionists and kidnappers part of the Cártel de Jalisco Nueva Generación. The cartel emerged after the death of Ignacio Coronel Villarreal, alias “Nacho Coronel” , who was leader of the “Pacific Cartel” in the State of Jalisco. Investigation has found that this criminal group has influence in the eastern state of Jalisco and the southern and south-west of the State of Colima.
Fernando Rangel Segada AKA: “El Feyo” has been arrested for a double homicide. He is member of the Zetas, and known for his brutality.
NUEVO LAREDO, TAMAULIPAS*
A Mexican Army patrol was attacked by gunmen in 6 vehicle. They repelled the attack, killing 4 bad guys during the shootout with one soldier also dying. Five other soldiers were wounded and are in hospital.
The Public Security Secretariat of Jalisco confirmed
the finding of 7 dead in mass graves in Ejutla. The finding added to 17 other deaths in the state the same day.
