On November 25, Ezequiel Cardenas Rivera aka ‘The Junior’, 23, identified as the son of Antonio Ezequiel Cardenas Guillen, aka “Tony Tormenta ‘ was arrested by Mexican Marines as he and 4 other drug traffickers left a party. The 5 Gulf cartel members were arrested as they fled the party in 3 cars. Among the others arrested were Jose de Jesus Garcia Hernandez, 32, alleged head of Plaza in Matamoros, Javier Enrique Farías García, 49, alleged financial operator, and Erasmo Garcia Galvan, 37, who probably was responsible for the transfer of drugs into the United States.
MIGUEL HIDALGO, MEXICO
Customers alerted police that the body of a man killed by a bullet in the chest was abandoned by three strangers in the underground garage of the Soriana grocery store on Tuesday.
State police seized over 4 tons of marijuana in 2 refrigeration trucks and escorted by a Hummer. All 3 drivers were arrested, with the escort driver carrying a weapon. They denied any connection to a cartel.
On Tuesday, beginning at 6:40 am, there were numerous clashes between authorities and gunmen. Gunmen abandoned a stolen vehicle, leaving assault weapons and other items. One kidnapped businessman was rescued. Operations continued Wednesday.
LOMA BONITA, OAXACA
Leaflets were thrown from windows of luxury vehicles with a message to the people from El Chapo. It tells them to not be afraid and work with them to get rid of kidnapping, extortion, car theft, and if near any shooting, to drop to the ground but do not run. The warnings are causing alarm among the residents.
On Monday, federal police seized 53 kilos of heroin, reportedly worth $50 million in the US. The police stopped a tractor-trailer, and found the drugs in a spare tire. The driver and passenger were arrested. The Martin Transport truck was enroute to Aqua Prieta, Sonora which is across the border from Douglas, Arizona.
MEXICO, DISTRITO FEDERAL*
A reserve police officer was shot and killed outside the station at Ixtapaluca. Two others were also executed with a short time of this.
Authorities received a report of suspicious activity, and investigated to see if there as any connection to the 26 dumped bodies recently found. When officers arrived, police entered the home, whose doors were open. Upon inspecting the property, located four AR-15 rifles, magazines for AK-47 rifle, 18 packs bullets 7.62×39 caliber, two .9 mm caliber, two boxes .38 special caliber. In addition to a package of 5.7×28 , better known as “cop killer”, one of 45, 19 AR-15 and one of .380. They also found seven shields of the PGJ, a gun holster, a vest with the initials AFI, plus a fourth “brick” of marijuana and another 78 bags with the same drug. Everything seized was made available to the state prosecutor to be investigated.
On Tuesday, some 400 federal police arrived here, detailed for at least 2 months to combat crime. The state governor made available additional equipment for police, including ballistic vests and helmets.
GUADALUPE, NUEVO LEÓN
On Tuesday, there were 7 young people hanging out together. To trucks suddenly drove up, and the gunmen in them opened fire. Four were killed, and one injured.
