**Asterisk denotes death involving a police officer or a member of the military serving in that capacity.

(There were so many reports of 1-2 dead, that not all are reported. This is not to minimize their deaths, but simply due to the large numbers.)

SAN NICOLAS DE LOS GARZA, NUEVO LEÓN
Six young people were executed on Wednesday during the day. First, just two boys were killed, and then in a separate incident, four more also were shot and killed.

MONTERREY, NUEVO LEÓN
The parents and brother of a former state policeman arrested for involvement in the casino attack were shot and killed in their home.

MONTERREY, NUEVO LEÓN
Shortly after 9 pm, gunmen attacked the offices of the state investigations agency, or AEI. It is reported that one fragmentation grenade was also fired. At least five people were injured, but the report does not indicate if these were officers or civilians.

GUADALUPE, NUEVO LEÓN
Wednesday closed with 8 more executed in this community, and nearby metropolitan Monterrey.

APODACA, NUEVO LEÓN***
Five municipal police officers were attacked on Thursday in two separate incidents. One was attacked about 9 am, and wounded. Then, minutes later, the same group of gunmen attacked four officers. Three were killed outright, and the fourth was kidnapped.

CIUDAD VICTORIA, TAMAULIPAS
A car bomb exploded just a few blocks from the plaza where the traditional Grita de Independencia (Independence Day) celebration is held.

ROSALES, CHIHUAHUA
During the day Thursday, there was a chase and shootout between military and gunmen. Two were killed, but the report does not indicate if they were good guys or the bad guys. Additionally, four others were wounded. The traditional Grita de Independencia celebration was canceled, so as not to risk the local people.

SALTILLO, COAHUILA
Two men were executed shortly before people were to celebrate Grita de Independencia. Thus, when fireworks began where the celebration was to be, people panicked. Some fainted and required medical care.

QUERÉNDARO, MICHOACAN
About 400 people were celebrating Grita de Independencia in the main town square when a group of at least 50 armed men showed up. The Municipal Police sheltered them in the city hall, which was surrounded by the gunmen. The police only had 4 handguns and two AR15’s. By the time the 200 state police arrived, the gunmen had left, and he people went home.

MICHOACAN
The Knights Templar hung about 30 narco banners in 10 communities throughout the state of Michoacan. These banners professed that they exist to care for the people of the state, and to not allow cartel groups to victimize the people.
