The state attorney has asked for a truce between the cartels, so that people can feel calm and safe.  He asked the cartels to understand that society is hurt by the violence (as many other have said to no avail), and a truce is best, “I would expect a truce, because nobody has the right to endanger the peace of a society . Nobody has the right to bring about their business, especially when they are illegal, at the cost of society that has the desire to work and strive to bring up his family”, he said.

Human life has become very cheap in Mexico and the good citizens suffer terribly ffom the actions of the drug cartels and Mexican government. The Mexican government obviously has lost the war against the cartels and it is questionable if even they are still in a holding action against them.
