NOVOLATO, SINALOA
José Luis Angulo Beltran, 56 years, Municipal Police Commander, was executed while feeding cattle beside his home.
REYNOSA, TAMAULIPAS
César Dávila García, alias El Gama, the alleged main financial operator of the Gulf cartel was found dead of gunfire in a house in Reynosa by Mexican Marines. They were responding to an anonymous tip. Davila was supposedly designated as local head of the organization in the city of Tampico and Matamoros after the death of the previous leader in a shootout with federal forces. He had also served as the chief financial leader for the Gulf Cartel.
SALTILLO, COAHUILA
Carlos Alberto Oliva Castle, better known in the drug trafficking world as La Rana, and considered the number 3 leader of the criminal organization Los Zetas, was captured Wednesday by the Mexican military. He is the leader of the organization in San Luis Potosi, Coahuila, Nuevo Leon, Tamaulipas, and Zacatecas, and planned the Casino Royale attack. Captured with him was his girlfriend and another Zeta.
TAMAULIPAS
A spokesman for the Mexican Marines announced that from October 5 to date, the Marines detained a total of 36 suspects and 11 more were killed in clashes with the Marines, and seized were four tons of marijuana, 65 rifles, five pistols, 18 000 221 cartridges, two anti-tank grenades, four grenades, mines, rocket launchers and 35 RPG rounds, 324 RPG’s, four trucks with armor, known as Monster.
